I was expecting a book that taught how to draft patterns; instead, this is a book that goes through the pattern drafting process for a set number of projects. The author claims that carrying out these projects will teach you skills needed to draft patterns for yourself if you decide to do different projects, but I'm not so sure. Nonetheless, it was an interesting book, just not what I had in mind when I bought it.Product details

A very interesting sewing book, has a lot of good info. and can help the beginning sewer with tips and help.
This book is a good introduction to drafting simple garments. Some books are far too technical...this book is a good one for a beginner.
This book fit the bill. I wanted to learn to make a skirt without a pattern and this book helped me do it.
This book is wonderful for beginner sewers. I like it's simplicity, it's affordability and the information that it provides. I live in a country where I hardly ever see commercial patterns. In fact, I don't know anyone who uses them. This isn't much of a problem, but when buying sewing books that's for beginners, they usually mostly contain information on how to use the commercial patterns. This books is useful for people who are looking for a simple introduction to drafting clothing patterns directly onto the fabric, which is how it's done where I live.
